About "Toxic Pinocchio "
This painting was inspired by a series of events imposed on me over a period of time.
It received much uncertain criticism during its transformation faze due to its dark nature.
Thankfully I pushed on and completed this little gem.

We are ever evolving beings - opinions , experiences , emotions , the energy of life and the people we share it with. These are things that come through in my work. I also am fond of Salvador Dali , Vincent Van Gogh and Francis Bacon. Elements of their style and concepts echo through some of my pieces.
In terms of execution , I feel torn between the perfectionistic famous sfumato technique Da Vinci mastered and the freedom of abstract expressionism as well as a love for texture. The one feeds the other and so it goes.
I often tend to work on several pieces at once over a long period of time. My studio is jammed with incomplete pieces. I enjoy coming back to a piece after it has " rested. " I find this gives me a fresh outlook on the piece and space to gather or let go of my direction. Nothing is rushed - this could be a good thing or bad depending on how you see it.
My paintings have found homes all over the world - one in the house of commons in Belize.
Itala Bank bought my first piece.
I have painted a few paintings for charities , politically natured events and of Old Down Manor - previously owned by Mike Oldfield.
I am currently commissioned to Brexit's Arron Banks in the UK.
I am highly critical of my own work and take great pride in what I do.
