About "Rustle"
We were in the iMfolozi Game Park, South Africa and hoping to see some elephant. As we waited to cross a single track bridge, a slight rustle drew our attention. There right next to the car was this lovely female elephant.
As always I marvel at how a giant creature such as this, can go unnoticed, just by standing behind a small tree or tall shrub. Awesome to behold, perfect in design. Elephants actually walks on the tips of their toes and the soles of their feet are covered with a thick epidermis layer that acts as a shock absorber. No wonder these giants of upto 7 tons can walk so silently through the forest.
My suprise encounter with this beautiful creature, reminded me, that just like I was searching for this elephant, who was actually right next to me, so God is near to all who call upon Him. Sometimes we feel so far from God because of personal failure or sin. But God is always with us, always waiting and ready to hear our confessions, to reatore and forgive us, always available to hear about our problems and our needs.
"-then hear from heaven, your dwelling place, Forgive, and deal with each man according to all he does, since you know his heart (for You alone know the hearts of men)" (2Chronicles 7:30)
Even though God gave us our very breath and all creation point to His presence, many choose to ignore God, making an idol of their intellect, reasoning against His existence. And, foolishly choose not to see.
"that they would seek God, if perhaps they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us." (Acts17:27)
