I’m a landscape photographer based in the Western Cape of South Africa. I started photography as a hobby at the age of 19 and immediately fell in love with it. I have a great love for nature that I got from childhood holidays to beautiful, remote places around Southern Africa and through my photography I can share my views and respect for nature’s grandeur.
Through all the various knowledge resources of the internet I progressed very quickly on my own, but I have also done a one year course to get a broader view of the industry. I was accepted as a submitter to the prestigious Getty Images stock library at the age of 20 and I also submit to Istockphoto .
I only shoot digital and I guess you could call me a photoshop addict, though I always try to keep the amount of post processing to a minimum. The less time I spend behind a computer, the better. I make use of the latest digital techniques that enable photographers today, to create photographs that look ever closer to the real thing, while maintaining top notch image quality for optimal prints.
I have only been shooting as a hobby until now (2009), but next year I will be shooting and travelling full time. The images you see here are only a preview of what’s to come.
I aim for my photos to evoke the same emotion and awe that the moment and place did for me and I hope that my gallery will do that for the viewers.
The images are only listed here as A2 canvas prints, but I will print on fine art paper and in other sizes too. Send me an email with any enquiries
