About Mark

Born in London in 1965 Mark settled in South Africa with his parents in 1976. Mark worked as a CSI in the South African Police for 7 years before starting a graphic design business. He rekindled his passion for photography in 2003 and now spends 90% of his time on photography having put graphic design on the back-burner.

Mark specialises in the photography of art and artists as well as portraiture. He believes a proper portrait cannot be taken in a studio environment and shoots his subjects in their own environment – spending a lot of time with them so that he can capture the essence and soul of the subject.
