About "Garden Tools at the Shed"

While touring Germany, Chechnya and Hungary, many farms were visited. Sandstone buildings with heavy doors awoke longings for good times gone by. Other pen sketches by Van Zyl are: Card Players; Geraniums at a farmhouse door and the Slave Bell.

About Anna

Anna Sophia Aletta Johanna van Zyl, an Educational Psychologist, studied art under guidance of Elize Olivier, Beau Art, Jeffreys Bay. She prefers working in acrylic, water colours and oil pastels. She also does pen sketches.

Anna finds her inspiration in the country life surroundings of the Eastern Cape in South Africa. She also loves doing replicas of the old masters.
