About Deidre

Deidre de Waal, Mosaic artist, creates mosaic "glass paintings" which are block mounted, all ready to hang. Her art is exhibited both nationally and internationally. Some of her work was included in a collective International portfolio of contemporary mosaic art, created in 2007 by 615 artists worldwide.

Every art piece takes up to 3 months to complete from designing to finalisation stages and every piece is unique.

Her main medium is glass (stained or mosaic) but other materials such as gemstones, pewter, sea shells or stone are sometimes added to create special effect, texture or meaning.
