This artwork was create during a very difficult time in my life - hence the title "In a Pickle". I found relief by zoning in on the simple thigs around me ... and seeing things in detail ...

About Marguerite

Ever since I was a small child, I have been a creative spirit. I always excelled in Art at school, and when I was accepted to study at the National School of the Arts in Johannesburg, I grabbed the opportunity with both creative hands. After Matriculating from the National School of Arts in 1995, obtaining Colours for Art, I went to study a Bachelor of Arts degree at Rhodes University. In addition to studying Fine Art (specialising in Graphics), I studied Industrial Psychology, and completed my Masters degree in 2003.

In 2004, I moved to Cape Town, where I worked in the field of Industrial Psychology, whilst at the same time never letting my love for art die. After miraculously surviving a major car accident in 2005, I decided I had to make use of my God-given gift. I am now married with a baby and continue to create original artwork in a variety of mediums, in different categories of work. These categories include:

Abstracts (these artworks consist of realistic subject matter, represented in an unrealistic manner)
Landscapes (these artworks consist of unusual aspects of our beautiful South Africa)
Murals (these artworks consist of original artworks painted directly on to your walls)
Still Lifes (these artworks include objects in a setting that grabbed the artists' eye)
