About "Jongensklip Station"

Some years ago I photographed an old station building at Jongensklip in the Overberg. My intention was to build a scale model replica. The roof line posed somewhat of a problem and I went back some months later to retake pictures from the rear, only to find that the building had been demolished.

One may regret the destruction of parts of our heritage but there were real reasons to demolish the building which had long past outlived it's purpose as a station office.

So, instead of building the model I drew it.
