About "Madame Butterfly"
I just had to draw this beautiful cat. The cat's eyes are fixed on the butterfly, while the butterfly enjoys the sweet nectar of the flower. All three are part of nature.
Ester was born in Namibia in 1962. As a child she often spent the holidays in the Etosha Nature reserve and learnt to appreciate the beauty of wildlife at an early age. The detail drawings are the result of a scientific background and the ability to mix and match colours.
Annually at KKNK arts festival, Hermanus Whale festival and Kirkwood Wildlife festival. Strydom Art Gallery, Vincent Gallery, Chris Tugwell Gallery, De Muschel, Swakopmund Namibia, Botega art Gallery. Ester's work forms part of private collections in Great Britain, the Netherlands, Germany, Austria and Canada.
