About Lisa
I am passionate about photography, and consider myself very fortunate to be able to make a living doing what I love. I have always loved landscape, documentary and fine-art photography, and in recent years I have become interested in photographing flowers. I love to photograph people in landscapes, and I am inspired by the incongruity you so often see in Africa. I love the warm, easy humour of our people; the dazzling african light; the vibrant colours you see everywhere; the immensely beautiful landscapes. The stories I tell are of an intimate inter-connectedness: the things we hold dear - a dancing child, a flower that blooms silently, beautifully, following its own rhythm and time. A mountain in clouds, a log lying in its own time and history on a beach, living its unknown life. With my photography, I want to capture the continuity of time, and make it possible to always remember: a specific smile on a specific day; a particular expression in a child's eyes; the day a cloud drifted across the sky, casting a specific light. All my photographs are lightjet prints - this is a true photographic continuous tone process, using high resolution RBG lasers to produce the highest resolution colour output available. They are also available in any size from 200mm by 300mm to 400mm by 600mm, or as a canvas print if required. Please contact me for a quote.
