About Nelia Louw

Nelia's art is born from the soil she was raised on.Having grown up and still living on a farm her work is infused with a deep reverence for nature and its quiet harmonious rhythms. Her current work is impressionistic, abstract, and botanical -- layered with colour and emotional resonance. Her paintings speak to the interconnected facets of life. She likens life to a canvas upon which we all paint daily, often unconsciously. Through her work Nelia offers a visual reminder that even in fragments, life is composing a living painting. When we step back from chaos we witness the bigger picture as it unfolds into a vibrant bouquet of pattern and colour.
