About "Art From The Ocean"

Art from the ocean brings back special memories of a wonderful holiday in Illovo. The odd shape of the drift wood intrigued me.
Whilst painting this work I not only felt the serenity of the ocean and the fresh breeze of the sea, but was also swept away on a journey visualising the life of the tree and the possibilities of the location it came from…

Julene Stanz is from Alberton, Gauteng S.A. She is a full time mom, granny, accountant and part time artist. She started painting in 2009 when she joined a group of ladies taking art lessons from the talented Johan van Graan. She believes art is more than an expression of someone's perception in a moment of time. It's more than a snapshot of emotions captured in colour. It is the combination of it all, that places everything in perspective and talks to the soul.
