About Sonja

I am a self taught artist, where colour has always been a passion for me from a very early age and later on I discovered paint techniques. This combination led me to my road in specialising in both. Colour consultations, paint techniquing kitchens, furniture etc and decoupage teaching soon became a very full time and successful career for me, which I have been doing for over 20 years.
This naturally drew me to other arts and crafts and this is how I found my love for painting, especially leaning towards the abstract, where I could apply all my skills and knowledge. I paint in acrylics and oils and love the use of many varied textures in my work and love working with metallic and reflective products and paints.
Teach painting in both acrylics and oils, mixed media, mosaic and paint techniques. There is nothing as rewarding as expressing yourself in your gifts that God blessed you with.
