Reference AP 410 About "Chumani - The Jackal Buzzard" We live on a farm in the Western Cape and this jackal Buzzard lives in blue gum trees in front of our house. Sometimes he is with his mate and others alone. He is a majestic fellow who loves a windy day when he can ride the wind for hours at a time. he does not like the egyptian geese who also want to sit on his perch above a small dam. While I was painting this work I listened to the life story of a young man called Chumani who, it was discovered after his death, spent his time and energy reaching out to under privileged people in his home town. He would spend his pocket money on food for the homeless and sneak hungry kids into his parents home and feed them. he was a prince among men, just as the Jackal Buzzard is a prince among birds. This work is framed in a beautiful frame so i would prefer that it is bought as is. Please ask for for a High resolution image. The framed work is 500mm x 375mm. |
