About Diane
Diane Erasmus is well known and respected in South Africa for her Impressionistic expressionism style of painting.
She is based in Ramsgate on the South Coast of KwaZulu Natal and draws inspiration from the naturally beautiful landscapes and seascapes of the area, as well as from her intense interest in both nature and human nature. Diane's work appears in galleries around the country.
The beauty and grace of line and form, the essence and radiance of
colour and the fall of light, compositional balance and that
intangible spiritual quality that connects the artist to the viewer, these are the elements that define great visual art.
It is these elements that are most eloquently expressed in the work of Natal Artist Diane Erasmus.
Living in an environment that reflects the natural beauty embodied in her fine oil paintings, Diane has carved a niche in her genre of choice.
Decoratively appealing and emotionally satisfying, her paintings are much sort after both in South Africa and in other parts of the World.
