About "Donkey Drive 1"

This painting is not for sale.It was done as a tribute and was inspired by the minister who is currently on a journey by donkey cart....from Walkerville in Gauteng to Cape Town.Along the way he is distributing bibles and spreading the Gospel.I am amazed by the sacrifice he has made..The long difficult journey along back roads, the heat and the cold, the logistical difficulties and the practical difficulties! May God go with him!

About Lin

Creating art makes my heart sing!
With each work I try to bring expression to a defining moment in time in my personal journey through life and my relationship with God.I wish to bring glory to our Heavenly Creator in whom we live and move and have our being and without whom nothing can exist.
I am often inspired by a Scripture verse,a song,a prayer or an image that draws my attention.Sometimes it's an emotion or yearning within me that responds to these things, sometimes it's a memory and sometimes its just the possibilities to experiment with texture and colour and shade that grab me.
People inspire me and I love the beauty of the human form and the way that a mood or emotion can be conveyed by the pose and the contrast of light and dark.
