About "Fighter Pilots"
A soft yellow paper with folds and creases was used to do the pencil drawing on. The paper was then glued on to a canvas using "morge porge" it gives a shine to the paper, and gives it a more rough look and texture. The folds and creases makes a statement of years of being stored in a drawer and now for everyone to see. The paper is very fragile.
The eighteenth-century philosopher, Hume, wrote: "Beauty is no quality in things themselves, it merely exists in the mind, which contemplates them and each mind perceives a different beauty." And Plotinus said "For the absolute good is the cause and source of all beauty, just as the sun is the source of all daylight, and it can not therefore be spoken or written." It is these terms that I base my paintings and ideas on. It is the beginning of a new creation.
