About "Flamboyants of the Lowveld"

This is the street where I live! Red flamboyant in full bloom during springtime in the Lowveld/Mpumalanga! Wall to wall... lavishly dressed from floor to roof during this season. The girl with a red umbrella finished my painting off.

About Louise

Louise Henning

Currently living in the small, but beautiful area, part of the Lowveld, situated approx. 28km from Nelspruit, called Kaapsehoop. Home of the wild horses. Louise Henning, artist, art teacher, gallery owner at The Art Boutique, Kaapsehoop... also running a small guesthouse.

I do commission work on portraits, landscapes, flowers, animals and a fun range called the "Red Umbrella". Any SOLD painting on this site can be done on request and in any size. I don't do prints, or paint replicas of my own work, as each painting will be unique.

For me a painting carefully reflects life in different facets Love for people... expressed in the eyes of different characters and portraits; love for the bush expressed in wildlife; landscapes portraying emotion behind personal, or forgotten history. And last, but not least, my love & romance range "Red Umbrellas" ... for those in love, those out of love, and those who forgot all about it! I prefer doing "happy paintings".

Various topics are personal ways to authenticate my work and to acknowledge the value of all people and their cultures. A painting well done is an asset, enabling the viewer to experience their own unique perception of memory, emotion and mood. I hereby invite you to explore your own concept of art, .....your reality through my imagination!
