Reference BenvanEckArtist About "Garden of Eden Ethnic Four Seasons" I worked long hours with the earth,with water,plants,trees,seedlings,roots,etc.I think this influenced my work at a stage.I would include a sun,a tree,a hill,and a hut in every picture I drew at a stage.I enjoyed this work and it also reminded me of Johnny Glegg's song,'Scatterlings of Africa'We as human beings have a starting time and a finishing time and God gives us seasons to make the best of what we have available.I strongly felt those two themes:The Genesis of things to come,before every man and woman on earth gets 'scattered' into the world.And to work hard and to be rewarded for hard work . |

I'm inspired by colour, spaces, contrasts, in nature, in patterns and shapes and sizes. I enjoy the natural elements,the seasons and nature itself. I love sunrises and sunsets and wide open spaces,fields and the countryside. I want to tell the world that there is hope and love in abundance if we open our eyes and ears and hearts to receive it. I have been enjoying painting and drawing pictures even from before school and once got a hiding as a kid from my dad for drawing pictures on the kitchen wall tiles with a blue marker.
