About "Inquisitive Wild Dogs"

Wild dogs have such varied and unique colouring and to capture texture and detail for me is so satisfying. To capture their expressions and behavioural stances is exciting. This painting was my entry into the David Shepard Wildlife Artist of the Year 2015.

About Vanessa

I have had a passion for art from a very young age taking art as a subject at school and attending classes at Saxonworld, Johannesburg and later obtaining a diploma (3 years) at Paris School of Art.

My passion for Wildlife was enhanced when I worked in the Kruger National Park for a number of years.

I have travelled extensively throughout Southern Africa and love the outdoors!

My first exhibition was held at Zoo Lake in Johannesburg, where there was a sell out of all my works.

I have more recently exhibited solo at the Knysna Nederburg Art Experience, the prestigious [0x1]Knysna Log Inn[0x1], Wildebees Lapa in Kampersrus, and at Uplands College Festival in White River where I achieved immense success.

I have lived in the Province of Limpopo for 17 years and in Hoedspruit for the last 9 years
