About Carissa

Hi, I'm Carissa Sangster, an artist currently based in Centurion, S.A. I've come to realise that creating is part of my DNA -- give me something to do with my hands, and I'm happy.

We all have a need to be heard. Art speaks. Creating art let's me say my say. When my art speaks to someone, and they can see something relatable reflected back at them, something meaningful, something that stirs a feeling, then I believe I have created something truly valuable. Ultimately, the artwork should bring delight to the space it lives in.

We live in a troubled world that affect us all, but I believe in finding the positive, shifting focus toward joy, and not taking ourselves too seriously.
