About "Lazy Leopard"

The leopard symbolises the mysterious part of Africa - at rest, but always vigilant. This captures a bit of me, especially when I need some time alone. The work is framed with a stunning triple frame which compliments it immensely (picture of painting with frame available on request)

About Ansie

Ansie Blignaut

I love nature. Being a South African is awesome - we have an unbelievably stunning and diverse country!
I was in a high school that did not offer art as a subject. It was always a dream of mine to be able to paint, but on my own it just did not go any further than doodling during meetings. In 2008 my eldest two boys decided that they would like to pursue careers in architecture. As they didn't have art as school subjects we decided to find an art school where they could take art classes in the evenings. We were lucky enough to find the School of Creative Art of John and Elsa Blem. As it would be stupid to drop the boys off and fetch them again 2 hours later, I enrolled myself as well. Certainly the best decision I ever took! The school is so good that in no time I could start realising a life time dream.
We own a LandRover Defender and love rugged holidays, within our own country, as well as neighbouring countries. Throughout our travels my love for nature has led me to interpret the beauty in my own way - first by taking photographs, and now by painting.
