About Andre

Growing up in the "old far Northern Transvaal" made me what I am as an artist today...... Appreciative of all things wild and beautiful. It is a great challenge to me to be able to bring the bush in all its glory, with the nuances of light and some detail, to people who also love nature the way I do, but may lack the talent to use other means than photography to satisfy a "hunger" to identify with the bush and with the animals.... I do hope that I succeed in doing that.
I have concentrated on commissioned work for at least the past 10 years of the 15 years that I have been painting professionally. I have been fortunate in the sense that my work can be traced to countries all over the world.....to lodges in Africa and to celebrities in South Africa, some collectors having up to 11 of my paintings in their possession. I am involved in the Madikwe Rhino Project in terms of fund raising (painting donation), as we all SHOULD become involved. I live in Vaalwater, Limpopo....central to beautiful scenery and wildlife.
And I just love my job.....!
