About Lauren
We are ever evolving beings - opinions, experiences, emotions, the energy of life and the people we share it with.
I am fond of Salvador Dali, Vincent Van Gogh and Francis Bacon. Elements of their style and concepts echo through some of my pieces.
In terms of execution, I feel torn between the perfectionistic famous sfumato technique Da Vinci mastered, the freedom of abstract expressionism, as well as a love for texture and depth. There are so many options and beautiful things to be created, its almost impossible to stay in the box of one technique.
My current focus has shifted towards reality and it's mathematical make up. Euler's formula is in the forefront of this concept.
I am embarking on a new journey, a new way of seeing and experiencing this world.
The rise of the metaverse has created an exciting new digital platform for artists to expand their views. I find myself drawn to this new medium as it creates another layer, another dimension to my work.
I am very blessed, pieces have found homes all over the world.
Itala Bank bought my first piece.
Belize House of Commons displays "The Face of an Angel".
I have painted for Prince Harry's Trust, Brexit's Arron Banks is among my collectors and I have had the pleasure of painting Old Down Manor - previously owned by Mike Oldfield.
I am highly critical of my own work and take great pride in what I do.
