About "Fisherman's House (Churchaven)" This is one of the oldest homes in the West Cape Nature Reserve, it stands among more modern homes, proud and unchanged, its companion palm tree has grown with it and the grass almost becomes a part of the building. There is no attempt to straighten the walls or repair the roof, the fisherman who lives in it brings fish for the community, they come to visit in modern cars. It is a part of the history of Churchaven which still remains. |
