About Marie

Marie van Rooyen is a mostly self taught artist. Her love for the African bush was what inspired her to become the amazing artist she is today. She only started painting seriously after she retired in 1995. Her art depicts everything surrounding life in the bush and mountains; she also paints seascapes and still-life.
