About "Magaliesberg Rock and Bush" I was hiking in the Magaliesberg and loved the contrast of the mass of leaves against the rough textured rock. I took a photo and completed the painting in the studio. I am drawn quite often to the mundane in a landscape rather than a grand vista. It's like taking something that generally would not be seen as particularly special and then making it so. |
