About "Munster Beach Rock Pools"

Many a happy holiday spent on Munster Beach on the KZN coast resulted in moments in time captured in vignettes in the painting. Kids playing in the water, fishing for sea creatures with bucket, spade and net, fishermen silently waiting for the fish to bite, while the sun warms sand and skin. Nirvana!

I'm inspired by the play of light - how it reveals emotion in landscapes, figures, and fleeting moments. My work blends realism with symbolism, using layered brushwork, glazes, and mark-making to explore themes of solitude, transformation, and connection.
