About "Old African Woman"

I love painting old people, their faces have so much character and you can almost read the story of their lives in their wrinkles. In this image I continued my exploration of how light and colour are perceived by the veiwer. As you will see there are no specific lines defining the subject, all that you see are diffirent pieces of colour. Once you step away from the image your mind starts to "add" lines that are not there. I called her "wrinkle free" because she physically has no wrinkles but that does not neccesarily mean that you cannot "see" them.
