About "Painted Wolf"
The African wild dog is the second most endangered carnivore in Africa. Its population has dwindled to less than 5000. Through a successful breeding project at the Ann van Dyk Cheetah Centre I have been blessed in that I am able to observe the very special social structure in the wild dog pack, led by an Alpha female, they are disciplined, work as a team and take care of each other.
Marilyn Hull (formerly Dean)was born in Zimbabwe and moved, with her family, to South Africa in 1964. She has worked with animals all her life and is passionate about wildlife. She worked for fifteen years at the Ann van Dyk Cheetah Centre where she established a Conservation Education Programme and was later appointed General Manager of the Centre. She is a self taught artist who started her art career in 1999.
