About Louise

I have followed creative pursuits for virtually my whole life. After finishing school, I completed a year at Pretoria Technikon doing the basic year, which included life drawing, technical drawing, sculpture, pottery, design and history of art. Thereafter I started working and travelling - and whilst in the US did courses in jewellery design, fashion design and illustration, pottery and drawing.
I returned to South Africa 20 years ago and for the past 9 years have lived in Plettenberg Bay and have worked as a professional artist for the past 7 years. I consider myself a versatile artist, and paint landscapes, seascapes, portraits, florals, birds, boats and abstracts. I like to communicate my joy and love of life through my work. I consider art a constant learning & evolving process - not just in the courses I do, but in the new things learnt with each and every painting I do.
