About Wilma

I was born in Pretoria in 1966. Since my early childhood days I had a love for drawing and like to do a variety of crafty things. I always had a desire to paint. Unfortunately I never had the opportunity to attend Art School or even take art as a school subject.

At last in 2012 I decided to make time to explore the wonderful, colorful world of painting. I attend a few informal painting classes with artists like Thea Burger, Renier du Toit and Elize Schutte, all situated in Pretoria. I believe I have a talent that was hidden long enough in the ground, but now have to showcase it.

At this stage I will describe myself as an experimental artist who likes to experiment with different mediums, and techniques. I have a natural feeling for painting flowers, but I like to paint all things bright and beautiful to the glory of the Good Lord who makes it all.

It is my desire that everyone who looks at my paintings will become aware of the wonderful creation our Creator has bless us within the subject or even with just the fact that He created color for us to enjoy!
