Reference 304 About "Shattered Dreams" I painted this work while listening to the broadcasting of court case of Oscar Pistorius. The sorrow and the shattering of a young woman's dream, affected me deeply, and I think that the viewer might notice it in the work. I could not understand why I painted the doves in the painting. Only later a read in a Local news paper of a conversation that took place between the young victims mother and a lady that sat next to her during the court case. I cannot remember her exact words about what doves meant to her and her daughter, but she said that the doves told her that her daughter said she was fine |
