Reference EAS0007 About "Sheep Grazing in the Wheatfields" I came across this rural scene near Barrydale in the Southern Cape. I first pencil sketched the scene and then did an impromptu en situ watercolour sketch and took photos to act as referring matter. The mountains were beautiful, the wheat fields so green and alluring and the sheep calmly grazing adding the finishing touch. The whole scene just cried out to be caught in oils. |
