About Craig

What inspires me? Colour. Colour. Colour! Energy. Nature. Symmetry. Did I mention colour? I am slow to start things, but once I do I get into a bit of a frenzy. I scrub and dab, slap and swish, scribble and scrape. I use brushes and knives and fingers and rags. What a bloody mess [0x1] the studio is a disaster. I can[0x1]t tell you what my motivation is ... insert psycho mumbo jumbo here. I just love art and like what I like. Art is war. War between instinct and convention. I think convention tends to gets the upper hand in my work but I am fighting it tooth and claw.

I adore oils but I find them rather stressful. My preferred medium is pastels, they are so fresh and instinctive for me.
