About Latetia

Latetia Griebenow considers herself fortunate to live in the pictures’ historic old Stellenbosch.

She started painting in 2009 but as a housewife and a working mom of two boys in high school, she has to use every free moment to exercise this hobby that is so close to her heart.

Latetia has the precious ability to reproduce a favourite picture into a painting that you cannot stop looking at. She brings out the character of her subjects or objects, making you feel as if you have been there or as if you have always known it. Her clever application of colour and depth patiently brings alive what she sees.

She prefers painting in acrylics because she believes it suits her style of painting best.

Latetia does work on commission for clients that provides her with photos and pictures close to their heart that they want captured on canvas.
