The abundance of flowers on our farm in the West coast of South Africa inspires me to capture the vibrancy of life with quick palette knife strokes.

About Annelie
I am living on a farm in the Sandveld between Velddrif and Piketberg. I am inspired by my surroundings and the wealth of indigenous wildflowers of the area. The detailed, sensitive (almost impressionistic) paintings stems from a fusion of my scientific background and creative spirit. The images transcend the mere physical appearance of the subject and become visual poetry about Creation.
