Charlotte had no formal training as an artist but has grown up in a family filled with artists, including painters, sculptors and interior decorators. As a result she has had exposure to painting and art appreciation since a very young age. After moving to Australia and going through a series of traumatic experiences she started taking art classes as a therapeutic medium. She met a wonderful mentor and art teacher who supported her emotional expression and healing using painting. She very much enjoys using Acrylic and glazes as a creative medium, but has also worked with oils, pastels, ink and watercolor. She loves painting humans and animals, but has also loved painting landscapes, especially the breathtaking South African countryside which is the country of her birth.
