About "Stormy Sails"

I was struck by the similarities in the clouds and the billowing sails. Both the clouds and the yacht cross vast distances by the wind to unknown destinations with the promise of rain or storms. A tranquil painting with a hint of trouble on the horizon symbolising everyday life. The second in a series of three "Sails" paintings.

I'm inspired by the play of light - how it reveals emotion in landscapes, figures, and fleeting moments.
