About "The Mannequin"
During the time I painted "The Mannequin", I went to the British museum in London. The decorative pottery and sculptures in the museum inspired me. The mannequin is simbolic of woman in general. The simplicity of the mannequin makes it universal. The arrow is there to show that this woman is a target. At the time I painted this painting I felt under pressure. "Race of Endurance" is about standing strong against the difficulties of one's journey.
I adapt to the "zeitgeist" or spirit of our time. I am striving for simplicity as Les Corbusier said "Less is more". I am a contemporary artist. At the moment I am a sojourner capturing images and translating it into my own dialogue.
