About "The Race" I love horses. I love their beautiful muscular structure but , even more, I love that they are so willing to work with man. I have long wanted to depict this energy and co-operation. I painted this in ink as I did want any colour to detract from the energy of the Race! |

I find that I am motivated to paint on a subject by the glipse of a photo; something in the news. I am very moved by the emotions these stir within me.
