The white ambrella is inspired by a man standing and living outside, being covered by a ambrella, this is his only protection from the outside elements, he is scratching in a bin to find some food for the night.

About Alexander Gabriel

Self tought artist who started painting at an early age at primary school in 1963. Began painting seriously while working on the reil ways as a shunter-station foreman in 1972.

I get inspired by people,and their emotions,way of living and suffering, the use of rain in my work comes over very often, because i find it very clensing. Texture creates a feeling of reality, my work has a lot of texture.

Alexander was born 22 August 1953 in Zambabwe, he is married and has 8 children. Alexander also paints as A. Khumalo (Mothers maiden Name)
