About "Thriver"

Deep in the forest she runs from pain... or towards happiness? Where she is becomes more important than where she was or where she's going, and she starts to live in the now, drinking in the sights, sounds, smells, the feel of the cool moss on tree barks...and she is at peace.

About Louise

Louise van Wyk

Louise van Wyk has been compelled to draw and create since early childhood. Her art explores a fascination with the natural world, the effects of light on faces and places, and the ways in which atmospheric forces transform landscapes and objects visually and viscerally. She seeks to capture these moments on canvas.
Louise celebrates God's promise of provision, healing and eternal fatherhood in her art and challenges the human turmoil of perpetual self-doubt in the face of our spiritual connection with God. She often uses elements that hold symbolic significance around the concepts of inner peace, self-awareness, resilience and joy born from seeking insight into who God is and who we are in God.
