About Linda

Linda Pretorius (nee Budde) was born in Johannesburg South Africa. Married with two children. A self taught Artist who relocated to Hermanus towards the end of 2017.Today she works from her studio in De Kelders (Gansbaai)outside of Hermanus.
Linda loved drawing, since she was very young.
Her inspiration for painting began in 2003 after a discussion with a friend on holiday who had just taken up art classes .At first she focused on painting wildlife, (including the Big 5).
However raising children and other business ventures left little opportunity for her to grow her own art as it took up much of her time. She stopped after about a year.
Once Linda relocated the passion was reborn in her and with the beautiful, peaceful surroundings of the Overberg region she began painting again, this time it was not only wildlife but also the sea, ships and the Marine Big 5.
After the positive feedback from family and friends Linda decided to peruse her passion full time.
Her artwork portrays many places she has visited over time.
Linda Loves the African bush and the Ocean. This is where her passion for painting derives from. She loves to share her experiences with those less fortunate and to share such beauty in nature.
