About "Tthe Impossible Dream?" Racial tension, lawlessness, violence are very real concerns in our beautiful country and are absent in this painting. In the centre of the painting is a scale with a cross in it which symbolizes Christ and justice. The black and white man in the scales are representing equality in Christ, the basis for harmony. The two people:black and white, female and male are enjoying each others company, free of racial barriers and set against a backdrop of our flag, containing all that is good about our country: the flora and fauna, farming and mining. |

I love to draw. When a fellow student told me that I was too happy to ever be an artist I laughed because drawing and painting give me great joy. I received the art prize in matric and after completing a diploma in graphic design worked as a graphic artist until my children were born, after which i freelanced in the same field. During this time I also completed over 200 portraits on a commission basis in pastels, oils, and watercolor. I became increasingly passionate about the fine arts and joined the Miniature Art Society of SA, although still painting in large formats as well. I love the bush and animals, but find the human form the most challenging and beautiful. Price Range US$ 74-658 Exhibitions Participation in various exhibitions at Hyde Park by the Miniature Art Society. Education Johannesburg College of Art - Diploma in Graphic Design People who chose Carrol's work also chose work by: Find other:
