About "Tulip on peacock blue"
I was very inspired to experiment with textured backgrounds as well as prominent colors like peacock blue.
I have a passion to create various things; on my list of created items are exclusive French bedding and curtaining in soft smooth cotton which looks extremely modern and compliments a free and well- organized living space. I felt I needed the ideal artwork to go with this look - something different and fresh, yet, not a theme that has been overused and copied again and again in different ways.
I was feeling the need for attractive, clear-cut simplicity with that sure knowledge of "its hand painted" look. The whitewashed background of the painting reminds me of the current contemporary furniture craze to created pallet types of furniture like headboards and coffee tables (also whitewashed with a rough authentic look to it).
It really means a lot to me to also create art which compliments my living space or the living spaces of others. This is where we LIVE, right? To me - gone are the days where my inner conflict and theoretical painting techniques have to shape what I put on canvas!
I really want to try and focus to live in the moment and have art, furniture, decorations, and people around me to give me the freedom of freedom. Sometimes I want to overcomplicate my life with overthinking just as I want to overpaint and overspend time on one painting making it look like the work of a master - but this is not me. I can take six months to do so but the challenge is to create something in the here and now and to let go of it as is... If we could only do this to our own issues as well, life will be beautiful, we should do this!
