About Michail

Michail is an artist living and working in Tshwane (Pretoria) Michail has a strong creative background in the artistic world. Growing up he had a natural flair for the creative arts and explored various artistic outlets such as fashion design, textile design and fine art.
Michael de Lange studied Graphic Fine Art at the Port Elizabeth University (NMMU) and majored in Etching and Stained Glass. His primary interest was etching and experimental drawings, he also explored various mix media expressions. Michail was mentored by Cleonie Cull, Ethna Frankenvelt, Trevor Malcolm
He participated in a several group exhibitions, in Port Elizabeth, Cape Town and abroad (Germany & USA).
Michail started expressing himself in acrylic and oil painting visualization is entire life, and has recently found his passion for Icon expressionism. This is mainly due to too his new found desire to find peace and humility in every day contemplation.
