Early morning peacefulness in a small harbour, where all the fishing boats are still tied up at the quay - the only sounds coming from one boat, where 2 men are loading sacks of meal for the Bazaruto islanders.

About Jeanette

I painted and illustrated for the advertising industry until my first solo exhibition in 1990. Subsequently I've been painting in oils, watercolours and pastels for exhibitions and commissions. I also illustrate children's books, the most recent being a children's fairy book written by long-time friend Margaret Roberts.
Portraits are one of my favourite expressions in painting. Being able to capture the personality of the person and transfer it onto canvas is a real challenge and, for me, one of the most rewarding of all the aspects of painting. I do accept commissions for portraits.
