About "Windpomp"

My home town was in the news quite a lot over the last two months. For one listening to the news brought back some childhood memories.
The old party line operated by a magneto-type crank phone and the [0x1]windpomp[0x1]. This wind powered water pump brought some old memories to light.
The Term Windmill is also sometimes used to refer to wind energy conversion systems; such as windpumps and windturbines. (Ref.: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windpump)
