About Jolene

One of my first memories is being at a crèche, children running around, playing; and I am sitting with a scrapbook my dad gave me, drawing swans on a pond. I must have been 4 years old.
I have always enjoyed sketching & painting. My dream was always to have my own studio, somewhere secluded where I can paint, sculpt and just be.
After school I studied teaching and then Art with Painting & Ceramics as my main subjects. I loved it, but did not see a future career in arts. I started to work and build a career as HR Practitioner. I enjoy my work tremendously, but have always felt something is lacking...
I started painting again a few months ago. For the first time in years I feel whole. The biggest blessing is seeing my kids, Wian (8) and Lene (3) starting to express themselves in colours too!
Living with my husband, Cobus on a beautiful farm against the mountains of Wellington, I am home. I am surrounded by nature - beautiful sunsets & landscapes. More inspiration than I could ever express in a lifetime.
